Lega Basket Serie A is excited to announce a record in the international TV coverage of the 2021/22 LBA Serie A UnipolSai season thanks to 3 new agreements brokered by sports and media consultancy SN1 Trading and Content Arena, the software partner for media rights sales.
In Europe, the league gained a new partner in Best4Sport, a Latvian basic-pay sports channel, as well as a newly launched basketball OTT platform MCS Basket, owned by MCS Group, covering France and French-speaking Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg, who both added Italian basketball to their growing basketball portfolio.
For the first time, Lega Basket’s games will also be showcased in Canada, where basketball fans are able to watch games on International Ball TV, an online streaming provider with a basketball community of over 60K on Facebook alone. International Ball TV will be offering localized coverage of the league with a mix of free-to-watch and pay-per-view across its channels.
These new broadcasters joined an existing roster of international broadcasters such as Sportklub (Balkans), Nova Bulgaria, Nova Greece, K-Sport (Kosovo), Sport1 Lithuania, Next Level Sports (NXT) and FOR THE FANS (both in the US).
“We are extremely proud that our agreement with SN1 And Content Arena has increased the coverage of the LBA Serie A UnipolSai reaching new territories not only in Europe, but also, for the first time in the LBA history, in USA and in Canada – says Umberto Gandini, LBA President.
“We are very pleased to have secured a record media distribution for our partners at Italian basketball. It is the latest example on how our expertise at SN1, coupled with the extensive reach and exposure generated by Content Arena, help sports rights-holders distribute globally, including newly untapped markets”, said Lukas Zajancauskas, Commercial Director at SN1 Trading.
